Abstract
The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of osteopathic treatment and management in Multiple Sclerosis patients. A questionnaire was designed and first piloted on twenty tutors at the British School of Osteopathy. One hundred and fifty questionnaires were then sent to randomly selected qualified osteopaths, sixty-six questionnaires were returned that were suitable for analysis. The questionnaire found that osteopathy could provide an effective form of management in Multiple Sclerosis patients. Both in a physical and psychological manner. There were no claims to cure the disease, and 67% of the respondents didn't believe they could effect the overall prognosis of Multiple Sclerosis.
