- Abstract
- What is an important factor for good osteopathy ? Standard 2000 from General Osteopathic Council states professional competence. This research focused on psychomotor skill of osteopaths as osteopaths’ individual skill and as an important factor that The British School of Osteopathy (B.S.O.) issues. And this study evaluated undergraduate students of B.S.O. with the apparatus and the method that B.S.O. uses at ‘Introduction and Evaluation Day’.The results showed that there was no significant difference between - 4th year students and 1st year students - exercise group and non-exercise group- female students and male students in mean time to complete a task. The author makes recommendations as to how this research could be improved, including using different types of apparatus and method, collecting different kind of data. Suggestions are given as to how future research might improve on this study.
