Abstract

Introduction: Stress and symptoms arising from it are increasingly a matter of consulting the osteopath. Treatment of certain áreas of the spine can help improve health and maintain homeostasis. Objective: Check if there are significant changes in stress through an osteopathic approach Body Adjustment (BA). Methods: : It has divided a sample of 18 individuals of both sexes in an experimental group and a control group. Data recording was carried out with (SCL 90 symptom inventory), comparing results before and after treatment. Four treatments 35 minutes were conducted for six weeks. Results: Significant changes (p <0.05) were found in three dimensions of symptoms and a general index. Separating by gender, men only improved. Conclusions: Although the results of the experiment show some significant changes, the subjectivity of the study variables and the sample size detract statistical power to the study. New research methods more accurate recording and larger samples are needed to demonstrate the effect of reach BA in stress reduction.
