Abstract
Introducción: La cistitis ha sido definida como proceso multifactorial de causa desconocida y tratamiento no definido. Se caracteriza como crónica e inflamatoria dando síntoma en la vejiga, asociándose a dolores púbicos y necesidad urgente de miccionar. Su tasa de prevalencia es del 6,5 % en mujeres adultas en Estados unidos. Ésta conlleva efectos en la calidad de vida de la persona: secuelas emocionales, psicológicas y sociales. El objetivo principal era mejorar la calidad de vida de las mujeres mediante el tratamiento del intestino delgado. Se consideró establecer objetivos secundarios, los cuales ayudarían al principal : disminuir la inflamación e infección de la vejiga , mejorar la mecánica articular visceral y recuperar la fisiología del movimiento del intestino.
Metodología: El estudio de serie de casos presentó n=10. Se estableció un protocolo de 3 sesiones, espaciadas cada 3 semanas. Se valoró mediante los cuestionarios ICSI e ICPI. Se concluyeron los resultados aceptando un intervalo de confianza del 95%, siendo P<0,05.
Resultados: No se obtuvo ninguna significancia del tratamiento, aunque apareció una tendencia a la significancia en el test ICSI, el cual refiere a la sintomatología.
Conclusión: El tratamiento osteopático propuesto no muestra diferencias significativas.

Abstract
Introduction: Cystitis has been defined as a multifactorial process of unknown cause and undefined treatment. It is characterized as chronic and inflammatory giving symptoms in the bladder, associated with pubic pain and urgent urination. Its prevalence rate is 6.5% in adult women in the United States. This entails effects on the quality of life of the person: emotional, psychological and social consequences. The main objective was to improve the quality of life of women by treating the small intestine. It was considered to establish secondary objectives, which would help the main one: to diminish the inflammation and infection of the bladder, to improve the visceral joint mechanics and to recover the physiology of the bowel movement.
Methodology: The case series study presented n = 10. A protocol of 3 sessions was established, spaced every 3 weeks. It was assessed using the ICSI and ICPI questionnaires. The results were concluded accepting a confidence interval of 95%, being P <0.05.
Results: No significance was obtained from the treatment, although a tendency towards significance appeared in the ICSI test, which refers to the symptomatology.
Conclusion: The proposed osteopathic treatment does not show significant differences.
