Introducción: El dolor lumbar es uno de los síntomas más frecuentes que se encuentra en la clínica actualmente. Hay un gran porcentaje de pacientes que acuden a la consulta para tratarse. La Osteopatía tiene el compromiso de atender lo mejor posible e intentar dar una respuesta de calidad al dolor lumbar. Este estudio profundiza en los posibles tratamientos para el dolor lumbar, manipulando mediante una técnica de energía muscular en el hueso ilíaco y valorando su relación con el dolor lumbar a través de la fascia toracolumbar Metodología: Se realizó un estudio de serie de casos con una muestra de n=30, de ambos sexos, de edades comprendidas entre 20 y 60 años. El tratamiento se valoró con dos mediciones: prueba de presión con un algómetro y la escala de Oswestry. Los datos han sido analizados estadísticamente con el programa Excel.
Resultados: Se apreciaron cambios en las dos mediciones con todos los pacientes valorados, así como una mejora en su calidad de vida determinada por la escala de Oswestry.
Conclusiones: Se obtienen mejores valoraciones con la medición del algómetro. Se recomienda profundizar con más estudios la relación de la fascia toracolumbar y el dolor lumbar, ya que se manifiesta la relación directa. - Abstract

Introduction: Low back pain is one of the most frequent symptoms that are find in the current clinic. There is a large percentage of patients who come for consultation to be treated. Osteopathy has the commitment to attend as best as possible and try to give a quality response to low back pain. This study delves into the possible causes of low back pain, manipulating with a muscle energy technique in the iliac bone and assessing its relationship with back pain through the thoracolumbar fascia.
Methodology: It is proposed a case series study with a sample of n = 30, of both sexes, aged between 20 and 60 years. The treatment was assessed with two measurements: algometer pressure test and the Oswestry scale. The data has been analyzed statistically with ...
Results: Changes were observed in the two measurements with all the patients assessed.
Conclusions: Better assessments are obtained with the measurement of the algometer. It is recommended to deepen with more studies the relationship of the thoracolumbar fascia with lumbar pain, since we are able to show the direct relationship. - presented at
