Abstract
The aim of my study was to prove wether it is possible to decrease high blood pressure using a cranial osteopathic technique. The technique should be quite simple so that it can be used easily in our daily work as osteopaths. I could only find a few references to my topic. The most important was in the chapter about lateral fluid drive in H.I.Magoun´s book „Osteopathy in the Cranial Field“1.
I decided to use a variation of the classical handhold by applying a bilateral 5-finger position on the temporals. The first step was rolling them asymetrically, the second step was using the potency of the tide in the cerebrospinal fluid to improve the physical state of the probationer.

Methodology: I established one group named group A (13 people), whose members were treated with the special technique and a controll group named group B (12 people) whose members did not receive a treatement.
I measured the blood pressure of every probationer of both groups. While the members of group A were treated, each member of group B had to lay on the back for several minutes with my hand contact on the feed. My intention was to stay passive and not to influence the body at all.
After the treatement of group A, respectively after the passive state at group B, I measured the blood pressure again. Concerning my hypotheses there should be a big difference in the statistical results between group A ( decrease of blood pressure ) and group B ( only a small fluctuation ).

Statistics :The decrease (improvement) of the blood pressure within group A on the statistical average was: a) deacrease of systolic pressure 10%, b) decrease of diastolic pressure 10% and c) decrease of the middle aterial pressure 10,6%.
The fluctation of the blood pressure within group B on the statistical average was: a) systolic pressure 0,1%c) middle aterial pressure 0,4%.

Disscusion: The respectable difference between the results of both groups let me assume that applying that lateral fluid drive technique might be a possibility to help people who suffer from aterial hypertension.
My study only shows that blood pressure is decreased straight after the application of the technique but it does not show wether the decrease will last for some longer time. Other studies may be engaged in the duration of the decrease and in which medical field the technique might be usefull.
