zu nehmen. Wird keine organische Ursache für diese Symptome gefunden, wird als
Diagnose Funktionelle Dyspepsie gestellt. Die Therapie gestaltet sich oftmals
schwierig. Osteopathischen Studien zur Behandlung von dyspeptischen
PatientInnen zeigen eine Symptomreduktion und eine Verbesserung der
Lebensqualität.

Ziel: Die vorliegende
randomisierte kontrollierte klinische Studie sollte feststellen, ob man bei
PatientInnen mit Funktioneller Dyspepsie im Vergleich zu ProbandInnen ohne
dyspeptische Beschwerden einen Unterschied bei der Magenmobilität oder
-motilität feststellen kann.

Methode: Studiengruppe (n = 28) und
Kontrollgruppe (n = 34), Durchschnittsalter 43,71 Jahre, wurden von einer Osteopathin
auf ihre Magenmobilität und -motilität getestet.

Ergebnisse: Hinsichtlich der
Magenmobilität zeigte sich kein signifikanter Unterschied zwischen Studien- und
Kontrollgruppe (p = 0,954). Auch bei getrennter Betrachtung von Inspiration (p
= 0,687) und Exspiration (p = 0,508) konnten keine signifikanten Unterschiede
festgestellt werden.

In Bezug auf die Magenmotilität konnte kein signifikanter
Unterschied zwischen Studien- und Kontrollgruppe festgestellt werden (p =
0,279). Ein Vergleich der Gruppen hinsichtlich der Inspir zeigt einen
signifikanten Unterschied (p = 0,021). Bezüglich des Exspir konnte kein
signifikanter Unterschied festgestellt werden (p = 0,587)

Konklusion: Die vorliegenden
Ergebnisse lassen darauf schließen, dass sich die osteopathische Behandlung von
PatientInnen mit Funktioneller Dyspepsie nicht nur auf den Magen beziehen
sollte. Die Behandlung nach dem Black-Box Prinzip mit dem Grundlagenwissen von
anatomischen, physiologischen, nervalen, vaskulären und endokrinologischen
Zusammenhängen erscheint derzeit als optimal.

Abstract
en Background: Dyspeptic problems are a common reason for patients
to seek medical help. If no organic cause for these problems can be found,
these patients are often diagnosed with functional dyspepsia. The therapy is
often complicated. Osteopathic studies have already shown, that osteopathic
treatment can alleviate the dyspeptic symptoms and improve the quality of life.

Aim:
This randomized controlled clinical study seeks to determine if there is a
difference in the gastric mobility or motility in patients with functional
dyspepsia compared to probands without dyspeptic symptoms.

Method:
An experimental group (n = 28) and a control group (n = 34), mean age 43,71,
were selected according to exclusion/inclusion criteria. Both groups were
tested by an qualified and blinded osteopath on gastric mobility and motility.

Results: In regard to the gastric mobility, there was no
significant difference between the study and control group (p = 0,954). Neither
could any significant differences be found when the inspiration (p = 0,687) and
exspiration (p = 0,508) are considered separately.

With regard to
the gastric motility, no significant difference could be found between the
study and the control group (p = 0,279). A comparison of the two groups with
regard to the Inspir shows a significant difference (p = 0.021). No significant
difference could be determined with regard to the Expir (p = 0, 587)

Conclusion: The presented results allow the recommendation that
the osteopathic treatment of dyspeptic problems should not only target the
stomach itself. In keeping with osteopathy, these symptoms should also be
viewed holistically. Treatment according to the black box principle with basic
knowledge of anatomical, physiological, neural, vascular and endocrinological
connections appears to be optimal according to the current state of knowledge
