Introduction A work on the effects of Jones’ Technique has been performed on patients with low back pain. Such technique has proved to be effective in somatic dysfunctions. A basic questionnaire and the ODI2.0 for data collection has been presented. The aim was to observe changes in life quality and the pain of the patients with low back ache after the application of JTs.Methods A longitudinal descriptive study of a series of cases has been undertaken in which 10 patients out of 12 have been analyzed. The selected variables are age, sex, antecedents of acute low back ache, pain’s intensity and lifestyle. It has been statistically analysed by means of the SPSS 15.0 software. The Chi squared has been calculated and the reduction of the basic statistic on central tendency and dispersion, have been presented in numeric percentage and boxplots. Results
The results with a reliability analysis of 100% yielded a Chi squared value of 5.83, whereas the t-student, since P>0,05, did not result in significant differences.
Conclusions
The JTs is effective on life quality of the patients with acute low back pain. This is relevant, because the actual society has a remarkable need of efficient alternatives against this symptomatology. - Abstract

Introducción Se realizó un trabajo de los efectos de la Técnica de Jones (TJs) en pacientes con lumbalgia aguda, técnica que ha demostrado efectividad en disfunciones somáticas. Presentándose un cuestionario básico y la ODI2.0 para la recogida de datos. El objetivo fue observar los cambios en la calidad de vida y el dolor de los pacientes con lumbalgia aguda después de realizar la TJs.
Metodología Se realizó un estudio descriptivo longitudinal de serie de casos, analizando 10 pacientes de 12 seleccionados. Cogiéndose como variables edad, sexo, antecedentes de lumbalgia, intensidad del dolor y estilo de vida. Se analizaron estadísticamente mediante el software SPSS 15.0, calculando la Chi cuadrado y la reducción a su estadístico básico de tendencia central y dispersión, resumiéndolo en porcentajes numéricos y diagramas de caja. Resultados
Los resultados con un análisis de fiabilidad de 100% dio un valor Chi cuadrado de 5,83 mientras que la t-Student no dio diferencias significativas ya que P>0,05.
Conclusiones
La TJs tuvo efectividad en la calidad de vida de los pacientes con lumbalgia. Hecho relevante, ya que la sociedad actual tiene gran necesidad de alternativas eficaces frente a esta sintomatología - presented at
