Currently, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is estimated between 20 and50% of the population. Certain moods are reflected in different parts of the
body, so pain and anxiety are closely related. The hypothesis was that
miofasciales indirect osteopathic techniques may be effective in the treatment of
GAD, as it is through the fascia through which the pain is transmitted in these
patients. The main objective was to observe the impact of osteopathic treatment
in patients with GAD observing whether anxiety was reduced. Besides other
objectives such as reducing the symptoms of GAD, identifying dysfunctional
vertebral segments were repeated in most patients, it was observed if they had
a postural pattern is not compensated in these patients and whether this pattern
improves during treatment were raised. For this, a series of case study, with a
sample of 14 patients with GAD was performed. Tested treatment produces
statistically significant changes in the Hamilton Scale down from 15 to 10 points
on average. There were also significant changes in the postural pattern,
detected a high proportion of non-compensated changes from offset (de14,3%
to 71.4% of patients). - Abstract

En la actualidad, el trastorno de ansiedad generalizada (TAG), se estima entre
el 20 y 50% de la población. Ciertos estados de ánimo se reflejan en diferentes
partes del cuerpo, por lo que dolor y ansiedad van íntimamente relacionados.
La hipótesis era que las técnicas osteopáticas miofasciales indirectas podrían
ser efectivas en el tratamiento del TAG, ya que es a través de las fascias por
las que se transmite el dolor en estos pacientes. El objetivo principal era
observar el impacto del tratamiento osteopático en pacientes con TAG
observando si la ansiedad se reducía. Además se plantearon otros objetivos
como reducir la sintomatología del TAG, la identificación de los segmentos
vertebrales en disfunción que más se repetían en los pacientes, se observó si
en estos pacientes tenían un patrón postural no compensado y si este patrón
mejora durante el tratamiento. Para ello se realizó un estudio de serie de casos,
con una muestra de 14 pacientes con TAG. Se probó estadísticamente que el
tratamiento produce cambios significativos en la Escala Hamilton bajando de 15
a 10 puntos de media. También se produjeron cambios significativos en el
patrón postural, detectándose una alta proporción de cambios desde no
